Banyan Group’s flagship, Banyan Tree Busan Haeundae, is set to open this November.
Perched on Yeonhwa Beach in Gijang, Busan, this luxe resort will offer private plunge pools in all 195 guest rooms and sweeping views of the East Sea.
A terraced layout stacks 179 tower rooms and penthouses alongside 16 standalone ‘Coastal Villas’, so every accommodation frames the horizon.
At the top tier, the Coastal Villas sit closest to the sand as private structures. Each villa has access via a dedicated elevator, giving guests complete privacy.
For the first time in Korea, the resort brings the brand’s global signature dining concept. Expect the Thai fine-dining restaurant Saffron and the rooftop favorite Vertigo, alongside all-day dining, a bakery and a seafood market—delicious options all on one property.
Amenities include a Banyan Tree Spa inspired by a “sanctuary for the senses” philosophy, plus yoga and meditation programs. The resort also features an infinity pool, a sky thalasso pool, an indoor golf range, a fitness center and Rangers Club, a hands-on activity space for kids—making it a true multigenerational getaway.
An oceanfront grand ballroom and an outdoor chapel will double as dramatic venues for weddings and large events, with the sea as a natural backdrop.
Banyan Tree Busan Haeundae will operate as a members-only resort condominium. Honors members can register ownership of room shares through a shared-ownership structure, and they enjoy 100% guaranteed annual stay allotments and waived annual fees.
Members also receive BTPC (Banyan Tree Private Collection) perks, including special rates at 115 Banyan Group hotels and resorts across 29 countries and preferred access to notable overseas golf courses in Phuket, Da Nang and Bintan.
“This is about more than a destination—we focused on perfecting a stay experience that delivers the same deep, restorative rest every time you visit,” a resort official said.
