Now in its 13th year, the Trekking Class blends practical on-trail hiking lessons with eco-friendly plogging activities so participants can learn and give back to nature at the same time.

Participants will tackle the Bukhansan Jindallae Ridge route. The group will start at the Ui-dong Meeting Plaza, follow the ridge to the turnaround point at Daedongmun, enjoy packed lunches there, then descend through the Sogwicheon Valley and return to the starting point.

At the opening ceremony before the hike, attendees will hear an exclusive lecture on hiking theory offered only at the Trekking Class. Oh Eun-sun—the first woman in the world to complete all 14 eight-thousand-meter peaks (8,000m)—will speak on \”The Warmth of Walking Together That the Mountains Taught Me,\” sharing what mountaineering has taught her about purpose and joy.

Kang Seol-min, the runner-up from MBN’s Hello Trot, will join as a promotional ambassador and bring energetic support to the participants.

Participants will receive cup noodles for lunch, energy bars, snacks, sports drinks, bottled water, sunscreen, and dietary fiber. Paid participants can enter a raffle with prizes including premium health-check vouchers, hiking boots, luxury cosmetics, and performance T-shirts from Norwegian outdoor brand Norrøna.

JoyNews24 is hosting the event, co-organized by the Korea University Mountaineering Club and iNews24, and sponsored by People and Mountains, the Korea Forest Service, and the Korean Alpine Federation. European athleisure leaders Odlo and Norrøna are participating as title sponsors.
