On the 31st (local time), The Tiger reported that a Thai woman identified as Anna posted on her social media about being sexually assaulted at a Lizzo resort in Satun Province.
The incident occurred on the third day of the couple’s stay. Anna and her boyfriend were staying in a bamboo bungalow when, as she was changing clothes in the bedroom to take a shower, she noticed someone watching her through a gap in the bamboo wall.
Anna screamed, and her boyfriend heard her. He spotted a man hiding in a dark corner and chased him. Anna said, “I stopped my boyfriend from pursuing him because I was worried about our safety, but I’m terrified the man may have filmed and distributed the footage.”
They reported the incident to police and to the Lizzo resort. The resort offered to move them to another room, but the couple checked out.
Police are working to identify the suspect. Anna said police told her they have sufficient evidence to identify the suspect and expect to make an arrest soon.
