[MyDaily = Reporter Kang Dayun] SM Entertainment (hereafter SM) announced it will host the Smile Music Festival (2026 SMile Music Festival) and is now recruiting teams to participate.
Launched in 2015 as part of SM’s corporate social responsibility efforts, the Smile Music Festival marks its 12th edition this year. To date, SM has supported 108 teams and 803 young people. Even after the program ends, alumni receive help with career and job experience, skills development, networking, and opportunities to enjoy cultural and artistic programming.
SM is accepting applications for the Smile Music Festival through May 31. The festival seeks vocal, dance, and band acts; any team of two or more young people nationwide, aged 14 to 19 and passionate about music, may apply.
Finalists will take part in roughly four months of programming beginning in August. Participants will receive professional training both online and in person, coverage for rehearsal space rental and video production support, mentoring from SM artists, an orientation and a midterm workshop, and a final-stage performance to gain hands-on experience.
