[Herald Muse = Park Seo-hyun] International outlets have been praising K-pop group TWS’s fifth mini-album, NO TRAGEDY.
On the 27th (local time), Forbes published an album review saying, “TWS, long loved for their sweet pop sound and youthful concept, takes a step forward with this record.” The magazine added that the release “retains the ‘Boyhood Pop’ palette—fresh, energetic sounds and performances—while expanding into a more direct, love-forward approach that creates excitement.”
Critics also highlighted the group’s musical growth. U.S. lifestyle site Sweety High ran a track-by-track breakdown of NO TRAGEDY and noted that “TWS broadened their musical spectrum by experimenting with styles like house and R&B.” In a piece on the 28th, Bandwagon Asia described the title track “You, You” (Korean title: “널 따라가”) as evidence of the group’s maturity, citing its polished production and the repeated “Dda-rum” hook that delivers bright, addictive energy. Bandwagon Asia characterized TWS as “trendsetters rather than followers.”
NO TRAGEDY sold 833,138 copies on its first day (the 27th), topping Hanteo Chart’s daily album chart. That figure far exceeds the cumulative sales of their previous release, marking a career high and underscoring the group’s momentum.
TWS will begin music show promotions tomorrow (the 30th) on Mnet’s M Countdown.
