[EPN Enpinow reporter Seo Hye-bin] TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) has extended its streak in Japan, setting a new record with its latest release.
On April 21, Oricon reported that TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s eighth mini-album, ‘7TH YEAR: When the Wind Briefly Stopped Among the Brambles,’ sold 230,000 copies in its first week and debuted at No. 1 on Oricon’s weekly album chart (week of April 27).
With this release, TXT became the first foreign artist to place 14 consecutive albums at No. 1 on Oricon’s weekly album chart, marking a new milestone. They first reached the top of Oricon’s weekly album chart in 2020 with ‘The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY’ and have kept the streak going since 2022’s ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child.’
Japanese fans have also embraced the title track, “Just One More Day (Stick With You).” The song climbed to No. 3 on Oricon’s Daily Digital Single Ranking and held the No. 1 spot on LINE MUSIC’s daily song chart for four consecutive days.
They also signaled staying power on South Korea’s charts. “Just One More Day (Stick With You)” debuted at No. 1 on Bugs’ daily chart on release day and went on to top the weekly chart. It has also secured a place in Melon’s weekly Top 100, maintaining steady popularity.
On this album, the five members put themselves at the center of the story, reflecting on seven years of emotions and growth since their debut. The title track conveys the aching desire to hold on to a love that’s nearing its end while underscoring TXT’s determination to hold fast to their dreams and keep moving forward.
The group’s music show performances of the title track drew attention for reliable vocals, polished stagecraft and expressive facial work that brought the song’s emotion to life—evidence of their maturity as artists in their eighth year.
