[Sports Today reporter Song O-jung] K-pop supergroup BTS secured the No. 1 trophy without appearing on the broadcast.
On the April 4 episode of MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’ (commonly shortened to ‘Music Core’), BTS, IVE and Hearts to Hearts went head-to-head for the top spot.
IVE’s “BANGBANG” scored 4,423 points to finish third, while Hearts to Hearts’ “RUDE!” earned 5,125 points for second place.
BTS, absent from the program, claimed first place with “SWIM,” tallying 9,494 points.
The episode also featured performances by Irene, KINO, Kang Min, Yuna (ITZY), Na Tae-ju, Kep1er, Jang Han-eum, ALL(H)OURS, Seo EVE, Min Ji-woon, ODD YOUTH, Baby DONT Cry, AtHeart, V01D, AmbiO, OWIS and SLAY.
