[Sports Today Reporter Kim Tae-hyung] BTS has released a live clip that spotlights traditional Korean aesthetics.
At midnight on the 29th, the group uploaded a performance video for \”SWIM,\” filmed at ‘Seonhyewon,’ to their official YouTube channel. The clip pairs a setting steeped in traditional charm with a contemporary \”SWIM\” performance, creating a striking live piece.
Eschewing flashy stage effects, the video relies on carefully designed lighting to highlight BTS’s movement and the venue’s architectural beauty. Water-like lighting enhances the sense of immersion, and the members’ vocals—so immediate you can hear their breaths—lend the performance emotional weight.
BTS released their fifth full-length album, Arirang (ARIRANG), on the 20th. By naming the record after Korea’s signature folk song \”Arirang,\” the group roots the project in tradition while exploring the emotions shared by all seven members in 2026. Much like the timeless folk tune that has resonated across generations, the album aims to deliver a lasting, cross-generational impact.
Arirang is performing strongly on global charts. According to Hanteo Chart, first-week sales totaled 4,169,464 copies, setting a new record for the group. The title track \”SWIM\” held the No. 1 spot on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs — Global chart for eight consecutive days (20–27). The album debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. Official Albums Top 100 for the March 27–April 3 period, and \”SWIM\” reached No. 2 on the Official Singles Top 100, marking another milestone for the band.
BTS continues album promotion with appearances on several YouTube channels, including ‘Life 84’ (Jin), ‘Hot Issue Ji’ (Jimin), ‘Finding Kani’ (J-Hope), ‘Epic Kase’ (RM, Suga) and ‘Ppadaneoseu’ (RM, V). On the 29th at 5 p.m., V’s episode of \”Fairy Table\” will be released.
