(The CEN News / Reporter Nam Sa-woong) Mast Media announced on March 27 that Polish pianist Rafał Blechacz will present a recital at Seoul’s Lotte Concert Hall on July 5.
Rafał Blechacz, who won the 15th International Chopin Piano Competition in 2005—also earning four special prizes—records exclusively for Deutsche Grammophon and is widely regarded as a Chopin specialist for his profoundly insightful interpretations.
This Chopin-centered program will be his first Seoul recital in two years, following a 2024 appearance at the Seoul Arts Center, and promises audiences a particularly memorable evening.
The first half will include selections from Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier, the French Suite No. 6, and the Fantasia and Fugue. The second half will feature Chopin—mazurkas that evoke the spirit of Polish folk music, Scherzo No. 1, and Piano Sonata No. 2.
