Japanese media outlets are buzzing about Lim Eun-soo, the former figure skater who graced the commentary booth during the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, hailing her as a “stunning beauty.”
On February 9th, Japan’s Daily Sports reported that a woman in the commentary booth caused quite a stir, identifying her as Lim Eun-soo, a former Korean champion. The publication noted that Lim is a retired figure skater with World Championships experience who has now transitioned into a role as a sports commentator.
Lim Eun-soo represented South Korea’s national team for seven years, starting from the 2015-2016 season. In 2018, she made waves by clinching victory at the Asian Open Trophy, an International Skating Union (ISU) Challenger Series event. This marked the first major international win for a Korean skater since the legendary Kim Yuna. Following her competitive career, Lim ventured into musical theater. In 2025, she further expanded her repertoire by joining SPOTV as a commentator for the Harbin Winter Asian Games, solidifying her presence in sports broadcasting.
