ENHYPEN is making waves not just in South Korea, but also in Japan, showcasing their formidable album sales power.
The Japan Record Association reported on the 10th that ENHYPEN’s mini-album ‘THE SIN: VANISH’ has been certified ‘Platinum’ after shipping over 250,000 units in January. The group consists of members Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and NI-KI.
In Japan, the Record Association issues certifications monthly based on cumulative shipments: Gold for 100,000 units, Platinum for 250,000, and Double Platinum for 500,000.
‘THE SIN: VANISH’ made an immediate impact upon its Japanese release, topping the Oricon Daily Album Ranking on January 21. The album’s popularity was further cemented by its #1 position on LINE MUSIC’s Weekly ‘Album Top 100’ for January 14-20, as well as high rankings on both Oricon and Billboard Japan weekly charts.
Capitalizing on this success, ENHYPEN is set to host ‘VAMPIRE IS COMING’, a global fan event in Tokyo on the 14th, featuring video content that delves into the album’s narrative.
The album’s domestic performance has been equally impressive, with over 2.07 million copies sold in its first week, marking ENHYPEN’s fourth ‘Double Million Seller’. It also debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200, securing the group’s sixth consecutive Top 10 entry on the chart.
Beyond their musical achievements, ENHYPEN is making significant contributions to the ‘2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics’. Their track ‘SHOUT OUT’ from the mini-album ‘MANIFESTO: DAY 1’ has been chosen as the official cheer song for Team Korea. Additionally, member Sunghoon participated as a torchbearer, bridging the worlds of K-pop and sports.
