[Korea Financial News Reporter Shin Hye-joo] Regional air mobility carrier SeomAir (CEO Choi Yong-deok) has launched scheduled service on the Gimpo–Sacheon route.
SeomAir said it hosted a Gimpo–Sacheon inauguration ceremony at Sacheon Airport on March 30.
Organized by Sacheon Airport, the ceremony drew SeomAir CEO Choi Yong-deok; Park Wan-soo, governor of South Gyeongsang Province; Park Dong-sik, mayor of Sacheon; Cho Gyu-il, mayor of Jinju; and Kim Kyung-soo, former chair of the Local Era Committee.
Beginning that day, SeomAir began operating four daily round trips between Gimpo and Sacheon, creating a direct air link between the Seoul metropolitan area and South Gyeongsang Province.
Gimpo departures to Sacheon are scheduled at 7:20 a.m., 10:50 a.m., 2:20 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. Return flights from Sacheon to Gimpo depart at 9:05 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 4:05 p.m. and 7:35 p.m.

He expressed confidence the service will boost daily convenience for residents and inject new energy into the local economy and tourism.
Governor Park Wan-soo noted that Sacheon is the only airport providing direct access to Gyeongnam and the southern coastline, and he expressed hope for shared growth between SeomAir and the province.
SeomAir CEO Choi Yong-deok highlighted Sacheon’s role as South Korea’s aerospace hub. With four daily round trips, he said SeomAir will provide essential everyday air mobility for residents of Sacheon, Jinju and the broader Gyeongnam region.
Meanwhile, SeomAir is developing trunk air routes to address recent domestic connectivity issues between Incheon and regional airports. The carrier plans to deploy a range of routes to fill gaps in the national air network and to help revitalize regional airports.
