Pernod Ricard Korea is rolling out a Korea-exclusive limited edition from Ballantine’s Scotch whisky.
On the 20th, Pernod Ricard Korea announced it will introduce Ballantine’s Single Malt Glenburgie 16-Year Small Batch 2. The release is a Korea-only follow-up to last year’s Glenburgie 16-Year Small Batch.

Bottled at cask strength—56.1% ABV—this expression is non–chill-filtered and was matured in first-fill American oak casks. Master blender Sandy Hislop personally selected the American oak cask liquid used for the release, and a number of bottles even bear his signature.
Pernod Ricard Korea says the launch is meant to meet domestic demand for limited-edition whiskies.
Miguel Pascal, executive vice president and head of marketing at Pernod Ricard Korea, said, “This edition focuses on conveying the Glenburgie distillate’s character more clearly.”
He added, “Ballantine’s has long been sold in Korea and offers a variety of products tailored to consumer tastes. Glenburgie is the distillate used in Ballantine’s 17-year blend, and this release lets drinkers experience that spirit’s character more directly.”
