[Sports Seoul | By Baek Seung-kwan] Lifestyle IP branding and marketing firm Mellowbean is making a bold push to grow the experiential travel-gift market on the Kakao Gift platform. Rather than just selling trips, the company is packaging concerts, tours, and local cultural experiences into content-driven travel offers aimed at new consumer trends.
On the 9th, Mellowbean announced it will exclusively launch a travel package on Kakao Gift that bundles tickets to Mongolia’s biggest show, the 2026 SUPER CONCERT, with accommodations and curated sightseeing programs. As gifting shifts from physical items to experiences, the company is positioning travel itself as a meaningful, sharable gift.
The package goes beyond concert admission to include local tours and cultural programs, setting it apart from standard tour packages. Mellowbean also improved accessibility by leveraging the Kakao Gift platform’s FOR ME tab so users can easily book a trip for themselves or send it as a gift to family and friends. A mobile-first booking and payment system makes the whole process simple and convenient.
Mellowbean says the project reflects a broader shift: travel is evolving into a “curated experience” that combines emotion and content consumption. The itinerary is designed to mix live performances, lifestyle moments, and local culture—an approach aimed squarely at MZ consumers (Millennials and Gen Z).
Local operations will be handled by Mongolian firm EVANDIS travel. EVANDIS has built a one-stop setup covering local guides, transportation, lodging, and tour programming. With experience serving Korean travelers and strong local networks, the company promises a stable, well-managed travel environment.
The 2026 SUPER CONCERT tied to the package will be held on June 20 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Nine acts are scheduled to perform, including Park Jae-beom (Jay Park), Jessi, BB Girls, and popular Mongolian artist Young Mo G.
Leveraging planning expertise developed through character IP and virtual content projects, Mellowbean plans to grow its lifestyle platform business by connecting content, the real economy, and the travel industry under its Mellowtrip initiative.
CEO Choi Ji-hee said, “Recent consumer trends favor special experiences and emotional value over simple ownership. Through the Kakao Gift platform, we want to make experiential travel content easy to access and share, and create a new culture of travel consumption.”
