Jinha Beach, Ulju County’s go-to summer escape, will be open from June 26 through August 31 and will host a lineup of seasonal events.
On the 21st, Ulju County convened the 2026 Ulju County Beach Council at Ihwa Hall. Mayor Lee Sun-geol chaired the meeting, which included representatives from the Ulsan Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries, the Ulsan Coast Guard, the Ulju Police, the Namulju Fire Station and local residents.
Attendees discussed and approved plans to keep beachgoers safe and to ensure Jinha Beach is managed smoothly and efficiently.
This year, Jinha Beach will be open for 67 days, from June 26 through August 31, daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The opening ceremony is set for June 26. Highlights include the Jinha Beach Festival in July, the Ulju Marine Sports Festival on July 25–26, and a Summer Festival in early August.
Ulju County will provide free amenities—showers, parasols, life jackets, inner tubes and a splash area—and plans to expand temporary parking to make visits more convenient. The county says it will work closely with partner agencies and local residents on safety, security and environmental upkeep to ensure a pleasant, safe beach season.
Mayor Lee Sun-geol said, \”With higher average temperatures and the likelihood of heat waves this year, we expect more visitors to Jinha Beach than in previous years. We’ll do everything necessary to ensure safety so visitors can enjoy the beach comfortably and confidently.\”
