Suwon Signs MOU with Suwon Breweries Association
On April 17, Suwon City announced plans to develop brewery-focused tourism experiences as part of its “2026–2027 Year to Visit Suwon” campaign.
On April 17, Suwon City and the Suwon Breweries Association signed an MOU in the city hall briefing room. They agreed to collaborate on creating distinctive tourism offerings.
The city will develop brewery tour packages and actively support their operation and promotion. The Brewers Association will curate and run brewery tours and hands-on traditional liquor experiences. Both parties also committed to upgrading facilities so visitors can participate more easily and to raising overall service standards.
The signing was attended by Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun, Association Chairman Kim Yun-hwan, and other members.
Kim Yun-hwan said, “As we celebrate the Year to Visit Suwon, the Suwon Brewers Association will actively promote Suwon to domestic and international visitors and help revitalize the city’s tourism industry.”
Mayor Lee Jae-jun thanked those dedicated to producing traditional liquor in Suwon and said, “Let’s work together to find compelling ways to showcase Suwon’s traditional drinks to visitors.”
