‘2027 Amway China Leadership Seminar’ selects Suwon Convention Center as final venue partner

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization have won the bid to host the global corporate incentive event, the 2027 Amway China Leadership Seminar. After a competitive selection process, the organization announced on March 27 that the Suwon Convention Center had been officially chosen as the final venue partner, following a decision made on March 6.
This opportunity follows the Korea Tourism Organization’s success in January securing the event for South Korea and confirms Suwon and Seoul as the primary host cities. Officials say the selection underscores the growing competitiveness of South Korea—and Suwon in Gyeonggi Province—within the global MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry.
The win reflects the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization’s “corporate-tailored premium service” strategy, which made the most of Suwon’s unique infrastructure. Reviewers highlighted the plan’s blend of the historic value of Suwon Hwaseong, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with the modern facilities at Suwon Convention Center and the urban leisure and meeting amenities offered by Gwanggyo Lake Park and the international conference complex.
The seminar is scheduled for late February to early March 2027. Attendees will take part in business sessions and a gala dinner at Suwon Convention Center, and will join curated experiences that link key tourist attractions in Suwon and Seoul. As a high-value incentive travel event, it is expected to drive spending across lodging, food and beverage, shopping, transportation, and tourism—generating an estimated 77 billion KRW (approximately 57.75 million USD) in economic impact.
The seminar will also be promoted as a flagship international event tied to the 2026–2027 Visit Suwon Year. In partnership with Suwon Convention Center and the Korea Tourism Organization, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization plans to offer extended-stay programs that showcase local highlights like Suwon Hwaseong, Haengnidan-gil, and Gwanggyo Lake Park—positioning Suwon as a must-return international destination.
