The Daejeon Tourism Organization has reported a whopping 195,000 visitors to the Dreamdori Outdoor Ice Skating Rink since its opening at Expo Citizen Square last December. Talk about a winter wonderland success!
According to the organization’s statement on the 10th, the rink was more than just your average skating spot. It featured fun zones for couples, friends, and families, plus some seriously cool weekend events. We’re talking magic bubble shows and even Transformers robot costume cosplay. How’s that for entertainment?
But wait, there’s more! They set up an Instagram-worthy photo zone with a massive 12-meter Christmas tree and a wish tree, starring Daejeon’s adorable mascots, Dreamdori and Dreamsuni. It was a total crowd-pleaser!
The city square’s electronic billboard became a mini-cinema, showcasing six videos including a Dreamdori 3D animation and a virtual tour of Daecheong Lake. They also threw in six short clips that had everyone buzzing.
Kim Yong-won, the organization’s president, couldn’t be more thrilled. He said, “We’re so grateful to all the citizens who showed interest and came out to enjoy the Dreamdori Outdoor Ice Skating Rink and the slope sledding area. Rest assured, we’re committed to creating an even more awesome and safe environment based on what we’ve learned this season.”
