President Lee Jae-myung said it is an established fact that information about the Guseong nuclear facility was already widely known around the world before Unification Minister Jeong Dong-young’s comments. On April 20, the president shared a news article on social media scrutinizing Minister Jeong’s responsibility for his remarks on Guseong. He wrote that “all claims and actions that assume Minister Jeong leaked classified information provided by the U.S. are wrong.” He added that authorities must “look closely into why something this absurd is happening.” Earlier, Unification Minister Jeong identified Guseong as the site of a third North Korean nuclear facility. He said he was outlining policy to convey the gravity of North Korea’s nuclear program and noted that information-sharing with the United States is partially limited. He called it deeply regrettable that his policy explanation has been characterized as an information leak. #LeeJaeMyung #President #JeongDong-young #Guseong #NuclearFacility Yonhap News TV inquiries and tips: KakaoTalk/LINE jebo23.
