[Financial News] On February 10, the Democratic Party finalized the selection of members for a special committee tasked with processing the Special Act on U.S. Investment.
The party unveiled the eight members of the special committee through a press release.
The Democratic Party appointed four members from the National Assembly’s Finance and Economy Committee: Jeong Tae-ho, the party’s committee coordinator, along with Jin Sung-jun, Jeong Il-young, and Ahn Do-geol.
From the National Assembly’s Political Affairs Committee, Representatives Heo Young and Kim Hyun-jeong were selected. The National Assembly’s Industry, Trade, Energy, SMEs, and Startups Committee will be represented by Representatives Jeong Jin-wook and Park Ji-hye.
Earlier, the Democratic Party agreed to concede the chairperson position to the People Power Party in exchange for an additional committee member, ensuring a favorable composition for the Democrats. The special committee is set to operate until March 9, focusing on intensive deliberations regarding the Special Act on U.S. Investment.
