OCEAN (5TION, Roy, Noah, Ren, Marin, Theo) will appear on MBC M’s Show Champion on the 29th, where they will debut their new single “I’m on Your Side” on television.
In a recent interview with Joynews24, OCEAN said they have spent much of their time performing overseas and haven’t had many opportunities to meet Korean fans. “We’re excited and happy to be back with a strong song,” the group said.
Looking back at their long hiatus from music shows, the members laughed that when they last performed 6 years ago they were jokingly called “ancestors.” They said they plan to approach this comeback with the fresh enthusiasm of newcomers and to enjoy the experience on stage.
“I’m on Your Side,” their newly released single, is a dance track that pledges steadfast support, pairing a rhythmic melody and heartfelt lyrics with the members’ sweet vocals and emotive delivery.
OCEAN (5TION) burst onto the music scene in 2001 with their debut “More Than Words,” winning fans with emotionally driven songs and warm visuals. After concentrating on activities in Japan and building a strong overseas following, the group added new member Theo and is now expanding its promotions in Korea.
They said they hope their distinctive sound will evoke memories and nostalgia for listeners, and that they plan to deepen engagement with fans through more active promotions.
