[CBC News] QWER previewed the title track, “CEREMONY,” during a media showcase announcing the release of their fourth EP, CEREMONY, on the morning of April 27 at Yes24 Wonder Rock Hall in Sinchon, Seoul.
The new EP closes the band’s initial narrative arc — which began with their debut single, “Harmony from Discord,” and continued through their previous third EP, “I’m on Your Side, Even If the Whole World Is Out of Tune” — and marks a shift as the group moves into a new phase. The five-track record, led by the title song “CEREMONY,” credits all members as songwriters, further cementing QWER’s musical identity.
The title track “CEREMONY” celebrates the band’s resolve to break from convention and live on their own terms. Backed by QWER’s signature, kinetic band sound, the song channels the group’s trademark positive energy. The mini-album CEREMONY was released on streaming services at 6 p.m. on the 27th.
