(The CEN News / Reporter Seonghun Jeong) The Incheon City Children’s Choir has opened applications for its 2026 training program. Organized by Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Culture & Arts Center, the drive is open to any child in grades 2 through 6 who lives in Incheon or attends a local elementary school, provided they have parental consent.
The choir will select up to 21 trainees. Applications may be submitted in person at the choir office or by email from noon on May 17 through 6:00 p.m. on May 21.
Selected trainees will take part in structured foundational training every Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose cultural space at the Incheon Culture & Arts Center. Instruction will include professional vocal coaching and choreography. Trainees who advance to the official performance ensemble will receive performance attire, scholarships and additional support, and they will be eligible to attend an annual music camp.

Auditions and interviews are scheduled for May 30. For the practical exam, applicants must memorize and perform one song and complete a pitch-recognition test; a parent will join the interview that follows. Final results will be posted on June 4 on the Incheon Culture & Arts Center website.
The choir said the program gives children a valuable chance to develop artistic sensitivity and a sense of community through choral singing, and it encouraged applications from young people interested in music.
For application details, see the notices on the Incheon Culture & Arts Center website or contact the choir office.
