[EPN Enpinow reporter Gonari] Woody GoChild returned to the airwaves after a period of rehabilitation following a fall from a third-floor rooftop, using his radio appearance to update fans on his recovery.
On April 23, SBS PowerFM’s “12 O’Clock with Joo Hyun-young” welcomed pH-1, Lil Boi, Woody GoChild and Big Naughty, each sharing personal updates and reflections.
Host Joo Hyun-young introduced a newly released video showing Woody balancing rehabilitation with a part-time job. Woody said he deeply missed making music during the long pause after the accident.
He added that being able to express himself with his voice again made him realize how precious it is. He also said an invitation to collaborate from Lil Boi played a key role in his decision to return to music.
In 2024, Woody GoChild fell from the rooftop of a three-story building. Although the fall was life-threatening, he said he was fortunate to recover without major injuries.
The accident, he said, made him value life’s essential priorities over outward concerns. He told listeners he intends to restart his music career and enter his 30s with a renewed outlook.
In a handwritten message, Woody wrote, “Coming back from the brink of death and starting again carries great meaning.” He added that he has returned to Seoul to focus on preparing his comeback.
Born in 1996, Woody GoChild rose to prominence after appearing on Mnet’s Show Me the Money 6 and Show Me the Money 8. He is currently signed to the H1GHR MUSIC label.
