[SPOTV News=Reporter Kim Won-gyeom] Dragon Pony has signed with Warner Music Japan as it prepares to enter the Japanese market.
Dragon Pony — Ahn Tae-gyu, Pyeon Seong-hyeon, Kwon Se-hyeok and Go Kang-hun — will release their first Japanese EP, Run to Run, on June 10.
Run to Run channels the restless energy of youth. Drawing on the experience they’ve accumulated to date, the band aims higher: sharpening the distinctive band sound they’ve honed while revealing a looser, more liberated rock persona.
The five-track EP features the title track “Run to Win” alongside “Stand Together,” “One Light, One Time,” “Break the Chain” and “Look Back.”
Across the record, Dragon Pony explores a more direct, forceful energy within an expanded musical palette, clarifying the band’s musical identity.
To mark their Japan debut, Dragon Pony will embark on the Dragon Pony 2026 Run to Run Japan Tour, playing Tokyo on June 17 and Osaka on June 21. The band says it intends to win over local audiences with tightly crafted performances that move between breezy exhilaration and lyrical introspection.
Since debuting in September 2024 with the EP Pop-Up, Dragon Pony has steadily extended its reach across Asia, appearing at solo concerts and festivals. Their wide-ranging command of rock, pop and alternative styles — backed by taut live shows — has made them a standout on the band scene.
Partnering with Warner Music Japan, Dragon Pony will release the EP in Japan and begin full-scale local activities, seeking closer, more immediate engagement with global fans.
Run to Run will be released on June 10 across digital music platforms. Pre-orders that include first-press bonuses will begin on local streaming services starting April 17.
