[Sports Today reporter Yoon Hye-young] HYBE Latin group Santos Bravos (SANTOS BRAVOS) expressed gratitude to Chairman Bang Si-hyuk of HYBE.
On the 10th, a media day celebrating Santos Bravos’ Korean promotions took place at HYBE’s Yongsan headquarters in Yongsan‑gu, Seoul.
Santos Bravos is a five-member Latin pop group under HYBE Latin America. After starring in a reality series of the same name, they debuted on October 21, 2025. The lineup includes members from diverse cultural backgrounds: Dru (U.S./Mexico), Caue (Brazil), Alejandro (Peru), Gabi (Puerto Rico) and Kenneth (Mexico).
Santos Bravos will promote their first EP, DUAL, during their activities in Korea.
Dru said the album features two title tracks: “VELOCIDADE” and “MHM.” The group chose to lead with two singles to showcase their dual nature. “VELOCIDADE” presents a powerful, fast-paced side and underscores our openness to different cultures. As a Brazilian song sung in Portuguese, it held special meaning for Caue, who contributed significantly as vocal leader. “MHM” is an easygoing, feel-good track that delivers feelings of love and warm comfort, he added.
Caue said he was deeply grateful that Chairman Bang Si-hyuk participated in the album’s production. “He fully engaged in the process and showed real commitment to the music,” Caue said. “As a Brazilian, it was meaningful to present our culture. It was moving to see fans who had never sung in Portuguese before watching and listening to us perform in Portuguese. We appreciate that fans respected Brazilian music. We completed the recording in just three hours — it was a fast, challenging song, but our members respected the culture and learned quickly. Even as vocal leader, I didn’t find the process overly difficult. It was special to share a culture I love.”
