[Sports Today reporter Im Si-ryeong] IVE has stoked anticipation by pre-releasing a track from their upcoming Japanese album.
According to Starship Entertainment, IVE quietly dropped the album track \”Fashion\” from their fourth Japanese album, LUCID DREAM, across streaming platforms at midnight on the 3rd.
\”Fashion\” carries a message about taking a step forward to embrace a new routine and a renewed self. Anchored by IVE’s signature upbeat energy, the members’ vocal range— from low tones that shift the song’s mood to resonant high notes that add momentum—elevates the track’s impact.
Since March 30, the song has also been featured in Apple’s App Store campaign in Japan, titled \”Every Step, with the App Store,\” which has been airing on TV and digital platforms. Member Rei even lent her voice to the campaign narration, underscoring IVE’s expanding global presence.
IVE’s fourth Japanese album, LUCID DREAM, which includes \”Fashion,\” is scheduled for release on May 27. The record will feature Japanese versions of the pre-release double title \”REBEL HEART\” and the title track \”ATTITUDE\” from last year’s mini-album IVE EMPATHY, along with a Japanese rendition of \”Thank U.\” With the pre-release already signaling a distinct concept and musical identity, expectations for the full album are high.
Since their official Japanese debut in 2022, IVE has maintained steady momentum. Their third Japanese album, Be Alright, topped Billboard Japan’s Top Album Sales chart last year, and \”After LIKE\” surpassed 200 million cumulative streams on Billboard Japan’s streaming chart—concrete evidence of the group’s widespread impact.
The group also impressed Japanese audiences with polished live performances at Rock in Japan Festival 2025, one of the country’s four major rock festivals. They have continued to build their profile with appearances on prominent Japanese programs, including NHK’s music show Venue 101 and TBS’s variety special Leave It to Snow Man SP.
IVE will bring the second leg of their world tour, SHOW WHAT I AM, to Kyocera Dome Osaka on the 18th and 19th. Following their Tokyo Dome milestone on last year’s first world tour, the group’s ability to mount a solo run at Kyocera Dome reflects a widening global footprint and keeps attention focused on their live and musical endeavors.
Meanwhile, IVE’s fourth Japanese album, LUCID DREAM, will be released on May 27.
