Hwasa, the Mamamoo member turned solo artist, unveiled a charming vintage look that paid tribute to Audrey Hepburn a week ahead of her comeback.
On April 2, Hwasa posted several photos to her social media announcing the release date for her new digital single, So Cute.
One shot shows her emerging from the driver’s seat of a car with its bumper completely smashed.
She wore a brown polka-dot, floor-length dress with white stilettos, lace gloves and a wide-brimmed hat—an ensemble that recalled Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday.
In other images, Hwasa sports a short haircut and a pristine white corset-style lingerie tank paired with a long skirt, juxtaposing a fresh, innocent vibe with unmistakable glamour.
Fans flooded the comments with enthusiastic reactions, writing things like, “I have to hold my breath when I look at her,” and, “Even if the car is wrecked, I want to sit next to Hwasa.”
Earlier, on the 31st, Hwasa appeared in a teaser for the web variety show Salon Drip 2 and reflected on her distinctive fashion sense since childhood.
“My outfits were all kinds of colors,” she said, noting she used to wear sunglasses that cost 1,000 KRW (≈ $0.75) or 2,000 KRW (≈ $1.50).
She also revealed she once paired a garter belt with a denim-on-denim look—likely around seventh grade—a confession that surprised viewers.
Meanwhile, on the 1st, her agency P Nation announced Hwasa will release the digital single So Cute at 6 p.m. on the 9th across major online music platforms.
The release marks her return roughly six months after last October’s single, Good Goodbye.
