[Sports Today reporter Yoon Hye-young] K-pop act 82MAJOR closed a sizzling European run after igniting stages across the continent.
82MAJOR (Nam Seong-mo, Park Seok-jun, Yoon Ye-chan, Jo Seong-il, Hwang Seong-bin and Kim Do-gyun) wrapped their European tour “Bibeom: BE Beom” with a finale in Warsaw, Poland, on March 31.
The tour launched in Paris and made stops in Berlin, Amsterdam and London before landing in Warsaw. Amsterdam sold out, and despite this being their first European outing, the group generated electric responses in every city.
Onstage, 82MAJOR kicked off sets with “Yeongung Hogeol” and “Passport,” then delivered signature numbers such as “Gossip,” “Stuck” (Hyeokkeut), and “Choke” (Chok). In Paris, the crowd erupted so loudly during the intro transition from “TROPHY” into “TAKEOVER” that the music was nearly drowned out, much to the members’ surprise.
At the London date, fans staged a surprise onstage birthday celebration for member Jo Seong-il, creating a warm, memorable moment. The group followed with “Face Time” and closed the encore with “FIRE,” “Gwahae (Overheat)” and “Promise You,” underlining their tight live chops.
International media and industry observers heaped praise on the group. French outlet K! World hailed 82MAJOR as a team born to perform, noting they’ve carved out an identity distinct from conventional K-pop frameworks. U.K. critics and agencies likewise spotlighted the group’s distinctive musicality, calling their shows high-energy and spectacular.
After the run, 82MAJOR expressed gratitude to their fandom, GLOBAL ATTITUDE, saying the fans’ passionate energy made every moment of the tour joyful and overwhelming. “We’ll keep growing to repay your support, so please look forward to our comeback,” the group added.
Meanwhile, 82MAJOR has confirmed plans to return at the end of April and is currently preparing a new album.
