[Sports Today reporter Yoon Hye-young] SeeYa — the vocal trio of Nam Gyu-ri, Kim Yeon-ji and Lee Bo-ram — reunited to mark their 20th anniversary and announced a triumphant comeback, drawing an enthusiastic public response with their first full-group return in 15 years.
SeeYa’s pre-release single “Still, We,” released at 6 p.m. on the 30th, shot to No. 1 on Genie Music’s latest releases chart and landed high on Melon’s newly released rankings, prompting an explosive reaction from listeners.
The trio’s immediate chart success, despite a decade-and-a-half hiatus, reinforced their standing as a legendary vocal act that fans still trust.
On various streaming platforms and across SeeYa’s and the members’ official social channels, fans poured out heartfelt messages celebrating the reunion: “Great name for the group — we’re really meeting again,” “Finally, the reunion dream came true,” “I cried; I can’t believe SeeYa reunited,” “Please do a concert,” “The line about ‘a tree that endured the seasons’ is amazing,” “How long has it been since we heard a SeeYa-style ballad?” and “This feels like SeeYa’s new prime.”
Matching that enthusiasm, SeeYa’s first official group activity following the release was a fan event at 7 p.m. on the 30th.
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, SeeYa held a fan meeting titled RE:BLOOM at EDLS in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Onstage, they recreated the choreography from their earlier days for fans they hadn’t seen in 15 years.
Fans answered in kind, waving pink balloons and responding with an unwavering, heartfelt sing-along and cheers that underscored two decades of devotion.
In a particularly emotional moment, Nam Gyu-ri was overwhelmed with tears before singing the opening line of “Love’s Greeting,” instantly turning the venue into a sea of tears.
That night, the group delivered a medley of hits along with the new single “Still, We,” leaving the audience deeply moved.
During a candid talk segment, the members made eye contact with fans as they revealed what ultimately brought them back together, shared behind-the-scenes reunion anecdotes, and expressed long-held gratitude and affection.
Public interest in SeeYa’s full-group return also spilled over into weekend variety programming.
On the March 29 broadcast of SBS’s My Ugly Duckling, Nam Gyu-ri welcomed Kim Yeon-ji and Lee Bo-ram to her home for a warm, meaningful celebration of their 20th anniversary.
The trio’s on-screen reunion showcased their enduring bond and offered viewers a pleasant blend of nostalgia and warmth.
The pre-release single “Still, We” is an emotional ballad composed by Park Geun-tae — the producer who shaped SeeYa during their heyday — with lyrics co-written by the three members, adding an extra layer of authenticity.
Even after years of ups and downs, the members’ tearful promise to stand before their fans again has resonated strongly with the public.
Riding the momentum of a successful comeback, SeeYa will keep the energy going into April.
After a series of full-group activities, they plan to cap their dazzling return in May with a full-length album — their first in 15 years — produced by Park Geun-tae and Kim Do-hoon.
