The show is hosted by Jang Geun-seok, a well-known epicure and master of home cooking in the entertainment industry. He’s joined by a star-studded lineup of chefs who have recently captured the public’s imagination. The ensemble includes Yoon Nam-no, nicknamed the “Cooking Enthusiast,” David Lee, known as the “Meat Master,” and Chef Fabri, who serves as an ambassador for Korean cuisine. Each brings their unique spin to traditional Korean dishes. Adding to the mix are special guests: K-pop idol Tsuki and writer Kwak Jae-sik, who promise to spice up the show with their witty banter and enthusiastic food sampling.

The premiere episode focuses on “A Table Enhanced by Time and Care.” Before diving into a culinary extravaganza featuring traditional ingredients, the cast will take on the challenge of making gochujang (red chili paste) and meju (fermented soybean blocks) using time-honored methods. In a particularly entertaining segment, Yoon Nam-no attempts to make meju for the first time. His unpredictable antics while grinding and treading on boiled soybeans reportedly had the entire set in stitches.
The main cooking showdown unfolds in a picturesque outdoor kitchen set within a traditional Korean hanok. David Lee flexes his culinary muscles as the “Meat Cooking Champion,” showcasing his expertise with Yeongju’s prized Korean beef. After sampling David’s creation, host Jang Geun-seok can barely contain his excitement, exclaiming, “My mouth is watering!” before leaping from his seat in a display of unbridled enthusiasm. His over-the-top reaction is sure to leave viewers intrigued.
Not to be outdone, Yoon Nam-no brings his A-game with his signature “Nam-no Sauce.” By incorporating an unexpected ingredient into gochujang, he creates an umami explosion that captivates everyone’s taste buds. The identity of this secret ingredient and Yoon’s unique culinary tips promise to be the highlight of tonight’s broadcast.
