MomsCareer, a social enterprise dedicated to supporting women’s careers, has partnered with the Air Force’s 19th Fighter Wing to enhance the well-being of service members and their families. The memorandum of understanding was signed on the 9th at the wing’s conference room, marking a significant step towards fostering a more family-friendly military environment.
This collaboration aims to cultivate a culture that supports childbirth and helps service members balance their professional duties with family life. The initiative comes as part of broader efforts to address work-life balance issues within the military community.
Under the agreement, both organizations will work together to provide resources for 19th Fighter Wing personnel and their families. These include childbirth encouragement programs, marriage counseling, parenting classes, and essential supplies for expectant families. The partnership underscores a commitment to improving overall welfare and fostering mutual growth.
To commemorate the occasion, MomsCareer presented a Casbi toy gift set to a pregnant family representing the unit, symbolizing the tangible benefits this partnership aims to deliver.
Looking ahead, MomsCareer plans to implement specialized programs such as ‘Prenatal Classes’ and expand parenting support infrastructure. These initiatives are designed to ensure that airmen can focus on their critical missions while maintaining stable and supportive home lives.
Lee Geum-jae, CEO of MomsCareer, emphasized the connection between family welfare and national defense: “The well-being of military families directly impacts the morale and operational readiness of our armed forces. We’re committed to providing meaningful support that addresses the unique challenges faced by military families, contributing to both their personal happiness and our nation’s demographic sustainability.”
MomsCareer has established itself as a pioneering force in supporting women whose careers have been interrupted by family responsibilities. Through innovative programs like the ‘Mom Reporters’ initiative and comprehensive pregnancy and parenting education, the organization has made significant strides in promoting healthy family dynamics. Their efforts have garnered recognition, including designation as an exemplary social economy enterprise by the Seoul Metropolitan Government for 2025 and certification as a social enterprise by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
