On March 24, a press screening for Salmokji was held at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Seoul. Actors Kim Hye‑yoon, Lee Jong‑won, Kim Jun‑han, Kim Young‑seong, Oh Dong‑min, Yoon Jae‑chan, Jang Da‑ah and director Lee Sang‑min attended. Salmokji is a horror film in which a mysterious figure appears on road‑view footage; when the crew heads to a reservoir to reshoot, they encounter something lurking in the dark, deep water.
Kim Hye‑yoon plays Han Su‑in, a PD at road‑view service company OnRoad Media. Lee Jong‑won portrays Yoon Ki‑tae, an OnRoad Media PD who joins the Salmokji shoot later and is Su‑in’s ex‑boyfriend. Reflecting on their on‑screen chemistry, Lee laughed, \”During filming we bickered a lot like former lovers. We got that close, and many moments felt like the comfortable tiffs of a couple who had parted amicably.\”
Kim Hye‑yoon added, \”The director helped a lot with how our relationship should read, including how we sounded on calls and in conversations. We worked on the right tones and expressions, and I focused more on the situation in each scene.\”
Salmokji opens in theaters on April 8.
