\"View Children’s Day may be over, but Family Month is just getting started—and this is prime season for multi-generation trips, when parents, children and sometimes grandparents all want to vacation together. The travel industry is busy rolling out options that range from senior-friendly sightseeing tours to city-based hotel stays where grandparents and grandkids can bond.

According to travel agency Norangpungseon, family bookings made up the largest share this month, accounting for 33% of all reservations. A company representative said that despite geopolitical tensions and rising fuel prices squeezing overall demand, family travel has stayed relatively steady. They noted that higher fuel costs are nudging people toward short, budget-friendly trips; among international travelers, 27% picked Japan and 25% chose China.

\"Infinity Hotels have leaned into value-minded family travel. Skipping a flight reduces hassle and cost, and a hotel stay gives three generations—from grandparents to little ones—a convenient, relaxed way to enjoy time together.

Lotte Hotel Jeju launched a family-focused room package for Family Month. Its signature Multi-Gen Pool Villa suite now accommodates up to six guests—up from five—at no extra charge, making it ideal for three-generation groups or large families. The suite includes an in-room infinity-edge pool, canopy and sunbeds so families can relax privately. In-room dining options let guests choose between a wine-and-cheese platter or the \”Hwayo · Juan Table Set,\” which features dishes like stir-fried black pork, jeon (Korean pancakes), seafood jjambbong and beef jerky.

For families traveling with children—especially those with daughters—the hotel offers the Hello Kitty Camellia Edition package. It includes a pink Hello Kitty family twin room and breakfast for two adults and one child, plus 20% off the indoor children’s play complex. Guests staying two or more nights receive a free voucher for one person to join a craft activity, such as building a snack house or making a keyring.

\"Family The Westin Chosun Seoul is also running packages to welcome families with kids and three-generation groups over holidays and weekends. Book two or more rooms and the hotel will provide connecting rooms when available so large families can feel like they have a private suite. Packages come with gifts such as kids’ bags or baby amenity brand items, and breakfast is included per room. A two-room booking can comfortably host groups like four adults and two children—perfect for an extended-family getaway.

Beyond rooms, the Westin is zeroing in on family dining in May. Nine’s Gate offers a 20% discount on the Herendi Course on weekday evenings for parties of three or more that include parents; the menu features truffle tagliolini and grilled tilefish with beurre blanc. On weekends, adults dining with children can enjoy 50% off the kids’ menu when two or more adults dine. L’Escape Seoul Myeongdong and Chosun Hotel & Resort’s Japanese restaurant Yamabuki are also offering special Family Month courses.

Paradise Spa Dogo—where visitors accompanying parents or children typically make up more than 80% of guests—has amped up its May promotions. For Parents’ Day (May 8–14), visitors accompanied by their parents receive a 40% discount on spa admission; the discount applies to the accompanying parents and requires a family relationship certificate for verification. From May 15–21, covering Teacher’s Day, teachers who present valid school or university ID can get 40% off spa admission.

Strong family demand has filled the Cabin Park camping accommodations at Paradise Spa Dogo—weekend stays in May are already sold out. Overall May booking rates have already surpassed last month’s total occupancy.

\"Tourists Travel agencies have launched family-specific overseas packages that minimize physical strain while covering city highlights so three generations can travel comfortably together. Hana Tour’s \”3-Day Kyushu Best Family Tour\” pairs a visit to Beppu’s famed boiling hell hot springs—perfect for grandparents—with an African Safari jungle-bus tour that’s a hit with kids.

Norangpungseon rolled out a family-friendly Da Nang itinerary that emphasizes experiences—cruises, sky lounges and night-view tours—so everyone from toddlers to grandparents can take part. The trip also includes two massages and free beach time for relaxation. The agency said that this May’s holiday structure makes short, weekend-style itineraries—departing Friday and returning Sunday—a top choice, so they tailored offerings to places like Da Nang and Phu Quoc in Vietnam and Zhangjiajie in China.
