Discover B-POP: The Ultimate Local Travel Guide to Busan’s Hidden Gems

K-POP’s global pull right now isn’t just about catchy songs—it’s also the cinematic music videos and eye-catching album art. But have you heard of B-POP?

It’s a travel trend that treats Busan’s local vibe and movie-set scenery like a soundtrack. Think sunset-drenched streets and timeworn alleys instead of staged sets.

Here are local Busan routes made for walking with your earbuds in and your personal playlist on.

Mandeok Lego Village

Address : Mandeok-dong area, Buk District, Busan

The B-POP route kicks off in Mandeok-dong in Busan’s Buk District. The neighborhood climbs a hillside in tiers of small houses; from afar it looks like colorful blocks stacked together, so locals call it Mandeok “Lego” Village.

Its charm is that it’s a lived-in neighborhood, not a staged tourist spot. Narrow alleys, stairways, old walls, and glimpses of the city between houses flow together naturally. Many say it offers scenery even more distinctive than Gamcheon Culture Village.

Keep in mind this is a real community. Avoid loud behavior or pointing cameras into people’s homes. A quiet walk through the alleys and taking in the views from higher ground is the nicest way to experience it. Mandeok Lego Village acts like the intro to B-POP: not flashy, but it gently opens the mood for a local Busan journey.

Seokbulsa Temple

Address : Mandeokgogae-gil 143-96, Buk District, Busan

Walk a bit uphill past Mandeok’s alleys and the mood deepens. The bustle of northern Busan fades, replaced by the hush of wind and clear mountain air.

Tucked into the slopes of Geumjeongsan, Seokbulsa is a hidden temple beloved by those in the know. The massive Buddha carved into the cliff and the quiet landscape feel wildly different from the beach-focused image most travelers have of Busan.

As K-POP and Korean aesthetics spotlight traditional spaces, places like Seokbulsa feel fresh and special to international visitors. Pause here—where nature, tradition, and open space meet—and the city’s noise will feel miles away. The rhythm you felt on the hillside roads now drops toward the west coast, opening into wider, more relaxed scenes.

Dadaepo Beach

Address : Dadae-dong, Saha District, Busan (Dadaepo Beach)

The sea is the highlight of any Busan route. Dadaepo Beach is famed for its spectacular sunsets. Its wide sandy shore, gentle waves, and vast sky can feel like a frame from a K-POP music video.

Dadaepo is a true B-POP spot. It’s wider, slower, and wonderfully relaxed. Visiting here has a way of unwinding you. Plan to be here at dusk—the colors spilling across the sea and tidal flats are at their most magical then.

Put on your music and walk the shore; you won’t need staged poses—the moments photograph themselves.

Gamcheon Culture Village

Address : Gamnae 2-ro 203, Saha District, Busan

If Korea had a Machu Picchu, it might be Gamcheon Culture Village. This signature spot features colorful houses and murals cascading down the hillside, creating a vibe all its own.

Where Dadaepo’s sunset leaves a soft afterglow, Gamcheon bursts with color and imagination. K-POP has expanded into fashion, visuals, and art—becoming a full cultural movement.

Given that, Gamcheon is one of Busan’s most expressive B-POP destinations. Its distinct palette explains why photographers and music-video directors keep coming back. Wander slowly through the maze-like alleys and you’ll feel like you’re inside a sensory art film.

Yeongdo Huinnyeoul Village

Address : Yeongseon-dong 4-ga 605-3, Yeongdo District, Busan

The finale of this B-POP local route is Yeongdo’s Huinnyeoul Village. White walls, narrow alleys, and the sea unfurling below the cliffs create one of Busan’s most cinematic scenes.

Huinnyeoul holds story. Once home to refugees, the village has evolved into a sought-after emotional travel spot. Its authentic local character has appeared in countless films and dramas, and it’s now a favorite for crisp, uplifting video shoots.

Sit by a quiet café window on the cliff, watch the sunlight shimmer on the water, and press play on your final playlist. You’ll leave with a deep, lingering afterglow.

Sometimes the gentlest comfort comes from walking slowly to a city’s own rhythm. This summer, follow a uniquely Busan B-POP route, let romantic music fill your ears, and create your own personal, cinematic music video.
