Sol Beach Namhae earns top tourism-hotel rating — Namhae looks to boost its tourism appeal

Namhae County and Sono International held a plaque ceremony at Sol Beach Namhae on the 19th to celebrate the resort’s 5-star tourism-hotel certification.
Last month, Sol Beach Namhae received the highest 5-star tourism-hotel rating, becoming the only 5-star tourism hotel in South Gyeongsang Province.
The ceremony publicly announced the certification and highlighted its significance. Namhae County officials and representatives from Sono International attended to celebrate the arrival of the region’s sole 5-star tourism hotel.
Opened in July of last year, Sol Beach Namhae offers 366 hotel rooms and 85 villa units, 451 rooms in total. It is the fourth property under the Sol Beach brand, following locations in Yangyang, Samcheok and Jindo. With sweeping views of the Namhae coastline and Mediterranean-inspired architecture, it’s gaining attention as a premium resort.
The county expects the 5-star certification to boost Namhae’s tourism brand value, strengthen its stay-focused tourism infrastructure and attract more visitors.
Deputy County Mayor Jeong Seok-won said, “Sol Beach Namhae’s 5-star tourism-hotel certification is a meaningful milestone that shows Namhae’s tourism competitiveness. We will continue to build up our stay-focused tourism offerings to make Namhae a destination people want to revisit.”
