[MyDaily = Kim Geon-ho] Reflecting on a decade of mistakes…
TalkSPORT reported on June 2 (KST) that Manchester United should prioritize players with the right attitude this summer and has been advised to steer clear of signing Rafael Leão (AC Milan).
United, who finished third in the Premier League this season, are preparing to strengthen the squad ahead of next term. Midfield reinforcements are the top priority, but the club has also been linked with adding a left winger.
The player reportedly on their radar is Leão. He has decided to leave AC Milan when the season ends. Although he has two years left on his contract, he is said to be seeking a new challenge.
Leão joined AC Milan in August 2019. Across all competitions, he has made 291 appearances, scoring 80 goals and registering 65 assists. This season he logged 31 appearances with 10 goals and 3 assists.

Dean Saunders told TalkSPORT that every signing Manchester United makes now is critical. After a decade of errors, they need to get recruitment right. \”Does he have the right attitude?\” Saunders asked. \”On ability alone, he’s clearly a good player and tempting to sign. But what about his attitude? If his attitude is poor, you shouldn’t bring him into the team.\”
Saunders added that United are making progress. \”The signings they’ve made — players like Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha — are better than older players who were just collecting wages. If you bring in players with the right attitude, the club can reach the level Arsenal have. A culture of the right attitude has to take hold inside the club.\”
Jeff Stelling offered a more reserved take. \”I’ve never been convinced by Leão,\” he said, arguing that AC Milan had a disappointing season by their standards. \”He scored 10 goals — that’s fairly ordinary.\”
Stelling continued: \”Does he score, and does he work hard? If he does both, sign him. But I haven’t watched enough of his game, so I wouldn’t be willing to sign him right now.\”
