With the defeat, the Giants fell to 22-35 (.386). They are 2-8 over their last 10 games and remain fourth in the National League West, 9.5 games behind third-place Arizona (31-25, .554). San Francisco now faces the risk of dropping to the bottom of the division but still holds a 1.5-game lead over fifth-place Colorado (21-37, .362). The Giants will try to end the skid against Colorado on the 31st.
