[Sports Today reporter Shin Seo-young] SK Sugar Gliders set a milestone as the first team in H League history to finish the regular season undefeated.
SK defeated Incheon Metropolitan City Hall 31-24 on the 18th in the final regular-season game of the Shinhan SOL Bank 2025-2026 Handball H League women’s division at Olympic Park Handball Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
The victory completed a 21-0 regular season for SK, rewriting the record books. This is the first perfect regular-season championship in H League history for either the men’s or women’s competitions. Prior to the H League era, Doosan went 20-0 in the men’s 2018-2019 season.
Last season (2024-2025), SK began with 19 straight wins but narrowly missed a perfect season after a loss to Busan Facilities Corporation.
This year, with a deeper roster and tighter team cohesion, SK dominated the H League and finally secured an unchallenged throne.
SK led the league with 624 goals (an average of 29.71 per game) while allowing the fewest goals at 518 (24.6 per game), showing balance on both ends of the court.
They also topped the league with 114 fast-break goals and 355 assists, and they committed the fewest turnovers (138), underscoring their steady game management.
Right back Choi Ji-hye, the league’s top scorer with 155 goals, was named regular-season MVP. Other contributors included left wing Yoon Ye-jin with 110 goals and center back Kang Kyung-min, who provided 83 goals and 106 assists, anchoring the offense.
SK coach Kim Kyung-jin said, \”We had concerns early in the season after a few key players left, but the remaining players and the newcomers meshed quickly. Getting through the tough early games with focus built trust among the group, and that trust carried us to an undefeated season. I’m grateful to the players for their hard work.\”
He added, \”We’ve been training with the goal of a third straight overall championship, so we’ll prepare carefully in the remaining period and aim to achieve that in the playoffs.\”
