KFA Partners with Korean Air: What This Means for the National Football Team’s 2026 World Cup Journey

[Sports Today reporter Shin Seo-young] The Korea Football Association (KFA) has partnered with Korean Air to back a new phase of growth for the South Korea national football team.
The KFA and Korean Air held an official partnership signing ceremony at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 on the morning of March 23.
Attendees included KFA Vice President Lee Yong-soo; Park Hang-seo, head of the North and Central America World Cup support team; national team manager Hong Myung-bo; and, from Korean Air, Executive Vice President Woo Ki-hong and Marketing Director Kim Myung-joon, along with other officials. The parties pledged to cooperate to advance South Korean football.
Under the agreement, Korean Air will provide comprehensive air-transport support for the national team’s overseas matches and participation in international tournaments.
The airline will also sponsor major KFA programs and activities. As an official partner, Korean Air will hold rights to use the team emblem and logo, stadium advertising space, and national team–related marketing rights.
Lee Yong-soo said the KFA is very pleased to partner with Korean Air, a carrier known for world-class service. He added that the agreement will strengthen the stability of national team operations and lay the groundwork for players to perform at their best under a more efficient travel system at major international events like the 2026 World Cup.
