Incheon City Corporation’s Jeon Jin-soo Dominates as MVP in Shinhan SOL Bank 25-26 Handball H-League!

The Korea Handball Federation (KOHA) has named Incheon Urban Corporation’s Jeon Jin-su as the MVP for Round 3 of the men’s division in the Shinhan SOL Bank 25-26 Handball H League. Additionally, Incheon Urban Corporation was selected as the “flex Best Team” for the round, as announced on March 3.

Jeon Jin-su, a right wing for Incheon Urban Corporation, showcased an impressive all-around performance in Round 3 of the H League. He scored 13 goals with an 81.2% success rate, provided 3 assists, made 3 blocks, drew three 2-minute suspensions, and earned match MVP honors twice. These contributions amounted to a total of 254 MVP points.

Upon receiving the MVP award, Jeon stated, “I believe these results came from giving my all in every game. I’ll continue to do my best in the remaining matches as we aim for the championship.”

Following Jeon in the MVP rankings were Hanam City Hall’s left back Kim Jae-sun (215.3 points), Hanam City Hall’s goalkeeper Park Jae-yong (210.5 points), Sangmu Phoenix’s left wing Cho Un-sik (206.5 points), and SK Hawks’ goalkeeper Lee Chang-woo (205 points).

Incheon Urban Corporation claimed the “flex Best Team” title for the third consecutive round. They achieved a perfect 5-0 record in Round 3, earning high marks for their performance. This narrowly edged out Hanam City Hall, which scored highly in the fair play category.

The Korea Handball Federation awards individual honors (MVP, with a prize of 1 million KRW (approximately $750)) and a team award (Best Team, with a prize of 500,000 KRW (about $375)) for each round of the Shinhan SOL Bank 25-26 Handball H League.

The MVP is selected based on a point system that considers various factors including goals scored, assists, blocks, steals, and goalkeeper saves, with points awarded for different positions and game situations.

The Best Team award, sponsored by flex, the H League’s official HR partner, is determined based on overall team performance.
