[Herald Economy (Ulsan) = Reporter Park Dong-sun] The city of Ulsan has announced measures to improve young residents’ living conditions by expanding access to culture and leisure and by subsidizing subscriptions to AI services.
Under the 2026 Ulsan Youth Sports + Culture Pass program, the city will support 10,000 residents aged 19 to 39 (born 1986–2007). Ulsan will cover up to 100,000 KRW (approximately $75) per person per year for tickets to Ulsan-based professional sports events—soccer, basketball and baseball—and for performances and exhibitions at cultural venues within the city.
After purchasers submit receipts and tickets as proof, the city will verify the documents and refund the amount to the applicant’s Ulsan Pay account in their name by the 15th of the following month.
Applications open online on the 26th. Prospective applicants must join the Ulsan Youth Membership (U’s membership) and install the Ulsan Pay app before applying.
Through the Youth Generative AI Subscription Support program, Ulsan will also provide a one-time annual subsidy of up to 100,000 KRW (approximately $75) to the first 1,000 applicants aged 19 to 39 to help cover generative AI service subscription fees.
The eligible services are ▷ChatGPT ▷Perplexity ▷Grok ▷Claude ▷Gemini ▷Copilot. Applications are accepted on the Ulsan Youth Policy Platform from the 26th through Nov. 30. Applicants must join the Ulsan Youth Membership at the Ulsan Youth Support Center before applying.
If applicants submit purchase receipts, screenshots of product registration, a copy of their bankbook, and any other required documents, the city will review applications received between the 1st and the end of each month and deposit approved funds into the applicant’s account by the 15th of the following month.
