Daewoo E&C said on April 27 that it held the 2026 Daewoo E&C Blood Donation Campaign for headquarters and field employees from April 13 to 23.
On April 23, employees participated by visiting a blood-donation bus parked in front of the Euljiro headquarters. Those who could not access the bus were able to join the campaign by donating any blood-donation certificates they had during the event period.
The campaign began in 2006 and this year marks its 21st consecutive year of companywide participation in support of saving lives. Daewoo E&C said it will continue these life‑saving efforts.
In December last year, the company donated 1,004 blood-donation certificates to children receiving treatment for pediatric cancer.
“With an aging population driving up medical demand and donation rates declining, the blood supply has become tighter,” said a Daewoo E&C employee who participated. “I see blood donation as a personal way to save lives, and I hope this helps those who need blood, even if only a little.”
Daewoo E&C positions “a better environment” and “a better society” as core pillars of its corporate social responsibility and runs a variety of community programs.
Since 2001, the company has renovated aging homes for disadvantaged groups through its Fixing Houses of Hope program and has led housing-improvement projects supporting descendants of independence activists. It also actively donates to relief funds and provides emergency recovery support during domestic and international disasters.
Daewoo E&C also participates in the Seoul Senior Welfare Center’s emergency free-meal program, operating meal sites and organizing employee volunteer activities for low-income seniors. Other community efforts include the Hamkke-eusseuk (ESG) donation challenge, which donates based on accumulated step counts, and plogging volunteer events.
