President Lee Jae-myung said on April 9 that he hopes there are no injuries or loss of life and that Neukgu, the male wolf that escaped the O-World safari in Daejeon, returns safely.
He posted a link to a news article about the search on X (formerly Twitter).
He also acknowledged the efforts of responding officials, saying police, firefighters and the military are mounting an all-out effort to capture the animal safely and bring it back, and he expressed gratitude for the work of public servants involved in the response.
Neukgu escaped from O-World at around 9:30 a.m. on April 8. Authorities have carried out a two-day search to capture the wolf, but its whereabouts remain unknown.
