Da Nang’s Hai Châu delegation visits Uiwang to deepen ties

A delegation from Hai Châu District in Da Nang, Vietnam, will make an official visit to Uiwang from the 25th through the 29th to participate in events designed to strengthen ties and commit to future cooperation.
Uiwang City said the Hai Châu delegation will follow a five-day official program while in the city.
The visit builds on a friendship agreement signed in July 2021 and seeks to deepen cooperation across economic, cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
The delegation will be led by Cao Thi Huyen Tran, secretary of the Hai Châu Party Committee. Their first event will be a symbolic water-confluence ceremony to express their commitment to friendship and collaboration.
On the 26th, a friendship tree-planting ceremony will be held at Mumin Park; the water combined during the 25th’s event will be used to irrigate the saplings, symbolizing the continuity and growth of the cities’ ties.
Both sides will also pursue exchanges and cooperation on a range of issues — including administration, public safety, the environment and culture — with an emphasis on administrative innovation, a public-safety cooperation model, environmental infrastructure and joint projects.
The city has organized a welcome reception, visits to relevant agencies, tours of industrial and environmental facilities, and cultural and tourism programs for the Vietnamese delegation. Officials said these activities aim to broaden exchanges with Hai Châu and produce tangible results.
Mayor Kim Seong-je said the visit will deepen ties between the two cities and pledged to pursue forward-looking outcomes through international municipal exchanges.
City officials expect the visit will strengthen cooperation between Uiwang and Hai Châu, create opportunities for joint development, and help both cities pursue sustainable growth and mutual benefit.
