Notably, the city achieved high marks in fiscal and tax-related sectors. It was recognized as the top-performing institution in the “2025 Local Finance Analysis Evaluation” conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The city also earned a spot on the list of “2025 Excellent Local Governments in Organizational Management.”
Furthermore, Uijeongbu secured top honors in Gyeonggi Province’s “Comprehensive Evaluation of Non-Tax Revenue for Cities and Counties” and “Corporate Tax Audit Performance Assessment.”
In the realm of administration and safety, the city’s accomplishments were equally impressive. These included an S-grade in the information security management evaluation, the highest rating in the comprehensive land information assessment, and commendation in the disaster response safety drill evaluation.
The welfare sector saw Uijeongbu receive excellence awards in both the Regional Welfare Project Evaluation, overseen by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the assessment for identifying and supporting vulnerable households during winter months.
Moving forward, the city intends to leverage these evaluation results to review processes across relevant departments and incorporate findings into its comprehensive performance assessment system.
Beginning in April, Uijeongbu will develop its “2026 External Evaluation Response Plan” to ensure ongoing management and improvement of administrative services.
A spokesperson for Uijeongbu City stated, “External evaluations provide an objective measure of our administrative processes and outcomes. We plan to use these results to maintain and enhance the quality of our public services.”
