Most of the exterior revisions concentrate on the front end. A split, retro-style grille — a clear nod to the Datsun-era Z — now sits behind a redesigned bumper.

A new Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic paint is available and is offered with a contrasting black roof to underscore the classic look. Nissan has also swapped the front roundel for a dedicated ‘Z’ emblem.

Those styling changes aren’t just cosmetic: the revisions are engineered to improve airflow and cooling efficiency as well.

The mid-level Performance trim receives 19-inch forged wheels and a retuned suspension. Larger-diameter monotube shock absorbers are fitted to improve ride comfort and cornering control.

Until now, the performance-oriented Nismo was offered only with a 9-speed automatic, a frustration for many enthusiasts. Nissan has responded by adding a manual gearbox to the lineup.

The manual pairs with the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 to sharpen throttle response and provide a more direct, engaging driving sensation.

Brakes derived from the GT-R improve stopping power, and targeted weight-reduction measures shave roughly 19 lb from the car.

The steering system has also been revised to cut internal friction by about 20%, yielding crisper steering feel.
