Chevrolet has unveiled a new showroom in Busan’s Haeundae district, aiming to bolster its presence in the key Busan-South Gyeongsang market. The automaker announced the opening on February 10, highlighting its strategy to enhance customer engagement and brand competitiveness in the region.
Situated in a prime economic hub of Southeast Korea, the Haeundae showroom capitalizes on the area’s reputation for marine tourism, international business, and upscale residential developments. Chevrolet intends to leverage these local attributes to elevate brand recognition and expand its customer base.
The new facility serves as a regional cornerstone, offering visitors a unique showroom experience coupled with expert consultation services. Despite its urban setting, the 3,600-square-foot (334.8㎡) showroom boasts an impressive capacity to showcase up to seven vehicles simultaneously. Featured models include Chevrolet’s flagship Trax crossover and Trailblazer.
In this inviting space, customers can get hands-on experience with Chevrolet’s key models and receive personalized consultations, ensuring a comprehensive and tailored brand interaction.
The grand opening ceremony on February 9 saw the attendance of about 25 guests, including Hector Villarreal, President of General Motors Korea, along with company executives, Busan-area Chevrolet dealership representatives, and valued customers.
Villarreal emphasized the strategic importance of the new location, stating, “The Haeundae showroom opening marks a crucial step in strengthening our customer touchpoints in the Busan-South Gyeongsang region. It enhances our brand presence in an area known for its high-income and global customer base.” He added, “Chevrolet continues to make bold investments and proactive moves, even in challenging market conditions. These efforts will underpin our sustainable growth strategy.”
The GM Korea chief expressed his vision for the new facility, saying, “We anticipate the Haeundae showroom will become a brand hub that embodies innovation, quality, and trust, while serving as a focal point for growth in partnership with the local community.”
