Photo taken by Apollo 17 of the lunar surface included in the U.S. government’s released UFO files[U.S. Department of Defense website][U.S. Department of Defense website]
On the 8th (local time), the U.S. government released a large cache of so‑called UFO files. The Department of Defense posted 161 files and related photographs concerning unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) on its website. Collected from 1966 through recent years, the materials include images from 1982 showing Apollo 17 photographing three luminous objects above the lunar surface. The release also contains eyewitness accounts from individuals reporting UFO sightings and suspected UAPs recorded during military reconnaissance operations around the world. The Pentagon emphasized these are unresolved cases, warning that the release does not amount to a definitive government determination on the nature of the observed phenomena. Officials said the action follows an order from President Donald Trump issued in February and includes records held by the Department of Defense, NASA and the FBI. The DoD said it worked with national intelligence partners to review hundreds of thousands of records and declassified many of them. Given the volume of material, it plans to publish additional batches in the coming weeks. The DoD invited civilian analysis of the released files and said it will issue separate reports on UAP cases that are resolved. #UnitedStates #UFO #Files #UAP #UnidentifiedFlyingObject For news tips and inquiries: KakaoTalk/Line jebo23 Choi Ji‑won (jiwoner@yna.co.kr)
