LIG D&A Heads to Malaysia Defense Expo DSA 2026, Taking Its Guided‑Missile Reputation to Southeast Asia
∙ Showcasing multilayer integrated air‑defense solutions, including Cheongung‑II and L‑SAM; highlighting cutting‑edge technologies

LIG Defense & Aerospace (LIG D&A) is attending the Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2026 defense expo in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from April 20 to 23.
The biennial DSA, organized by the Malaysian government, has been held since 1988 and focuses on defense and security. This marks LIG D&A’s third appearance at the show.
At DSA, LIG D&A will present a multilayer, integrated air‑defense portfolio: the medium‑range surface‑to‑air missile Cheongung‑II, the ship‑based SAM Haegung, the man‑portable air‑defense system (MANPADS) Singung, and the long‑range L‑SAM. The company will also exhibit the anti‑tank guided missile Hyeongung, counter‑battery radar for artillery targeting, and the precision air‑to‑ground guided munition KGGB.
Malaysia has expressed strong interest in acquiring systems under its defense modernization plans. LIG D&A intends to emphasize how its advanced air‑defense capabilities, led by the internationally recognized Cheongung‑II, can bolster regional security.
Lee Hyun‑soo, head of LIG D&A’s Overseas Business Division, said, “We will focus on highlighting the advanced technologies we have developed and our world‑class competitiveness. We will do our best to meet growing global demand for Korean defense products.” End.
